Edwin Moyo - Chairman
Edwin was Chairman, Director and Shareholder in Mitchell & Mitchell Fresh Exports, a large fresh produce exporter in Zimbabwe from 1996 to 2008. Since then he has been Chairman and majority shareholder of Rollex (Pvt) Ltd, an entity operating freight forwarding facility at the Harare Airport. In 2010, Rollex invested in the resuscitation of the Mitchell & Mitchell farms and facilities. A 49% stake in Rollex was acquired by Lonrho plc in 2011, and rebranded Lonrho Fresh Exports. In 2013, Horizon 21, a Swiss owned venture capital company purchased the majority shareholding in Lonrho plc and delisted from the LSE. Edwin was Chairman and majority shareholder of this entity, and recently engaged in a share swop with Horizon 21 which has resulted in 100% control of the farming entity, recently renamed Nhimbe Fresh Exports.Edwin has an MBA from Open University of the United Kingdom, has considerable international experience in structural financing, from Wall Street marketing various financial products to co-promoting the Dow Jones Sam-Sustainability Index Fund in 2000. He was previously employed by Coca-Cola. He has also been involved in structured financing for African exporters to the OECD countries through Afrexim Bank and obtained a USD 20 million note purchase facility to discount export receipts. Edwin also consulted with Price Waterhouse Coopers in London and Unctad in Geneva. Edwin lends his considerable structuring and strategic support to Nhimbe Fresh Exports. Through his structuring experience, Edwin was able to obtain exclusive plant breeders rights to the premium Oz Blu blueberry varieties in Zimbabwe through Ngepi Trust which is the majority shareholder in Nhimbe Fresh Exports. This gives Nhimbe monopoly advantage in Zimbabwe as far as this variety is concerned.
Adrian Zeederberg - CEO
Adrian Zeederberg evolved the vision, strategy and means to grow the Mitchell & Mitchell family farming business from a small tobacco, maize and cattle operation into what became at the time, the largest horticultural production and processing business in Southern Africa, through particularly difficult times in Zimbabwe. The strategy of value addition and vertical integration into the supply chain and economies of scale grew the Mitchell & Mitchell Group to supply the principals of the UK High Street, namely Tesco, J Sainsbury, Marks and Spencer and Waitrose, as well as regionally to Woolworths in South Africa. Adrian holds a BSc in Agricultural Economics and brings a unique blend of production, processing, pack house design and function, supply and cold chain logistics and marketing knowledge to the development and export of fresh fruit and berries, vegetables and tobacco.
Tulani Musikavanhu - Chief Financial Officer
Tulani holds a CA (Z) Professional Qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe. He has considerable experience as the Finance Manager and Director of Colcom Holdings Ltd and joined the team in this critical role from May 2016.
Peter Mukandi - Non Exec Board Member
Peter Mukandi holds a BSc Honours degree from Oxford Brookes University and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).He began his career as an auditor at Grant Thornton Zimbabwe before moving to the Channel Islands. He has significant international financial services industry experience and prior to joining SANNE Group in the Private Equity Funds service line, Peter worked at KPMG in Guernsey.He is currently studying for his MSc Corporate Governance degree from the University of Bournemouth.
Mudzingwa Chinanga - HR Consultant
Mudzingwa Chinanga born in November 1966, graduated with a Bachelor of Science ( Honours ) Politics and Administration Degree in 1989, from the University of Zimbabwe.He has held various Human Capital Management positions over a period spanning twenty eight years in various industries. He has held the positions of Chief Executive in the National Employment Council for the Agriculture Industry, Group Human Resources Manager in Interfresh, Group Human Resources Manager in Posts and Telecommunications, Group Human Resources and Administration Executive in MFC Group, Teacher and Labour Relations Officer in the Civil Service.He has done Human Capital consultancy, in the Agriculture, Banking, Pensions Industries and NGO community. He has been a Labour Relations Advisor to the Horticultural Promotion Council, and an employer Councillor in the National Employment Council for the Agricultural Industries.
Farai Mushoriwa - Non Exec Board Member
Farai is the holder of a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master of Laws Degree with specialty in Oil Gas and Mining Law which he obtained from Nottingham Trent University. He is the senior and founding partner of a law practice based in Harare called Mushoriwa Pasi Corporate Attorneys. He is a registered legal practitioner, conveyancer and notary public of 10 years’ experience who specialises in international investment law, mining, energy and infrastructure law. He is a member of the International Bar Association and the World Initiative of Mining Lawyers and is the sole recommended litigation lawyer in Zimbabwe by the prestigious Global Law Experts which is an international organization that focusses on quality service delivery in the field of law. He is also a member of the CEO Africa Roundtable and sits on the Finance and Investment Committee of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries.He has assisted several international investors seeking to enter the potentially lucrative African market, specifically in Zimbabwe and has deep understanding of the pitfalls of emerging markets and provides investment protection remedies to external investors.
Nele Bhebhe - Non Exec Board Member
Nele is a University of Edinburgh law graduate currently practicing as an associate in the Corporate department of a top tier law firm in Guernsey. He specialises in private equity, structured finance and general corporate and commercial law. Nele regularly works with top tier UK law firms on high value cross-border transactions. Nele also holds a Lean Six Sigma Leadership qualification from the University of Oxford. Lean Six Sigma is a highly-regarded and well-proven approach to business process improvement. It is employed extensively in manufacturing and increasingly in service businesses, including Banks, Financial Services and Healthcare. Lean Six Sigma enables teams within the business to engage in continual improvement – working to make the business more effective and more efficient.His interests also lie in impact investment and Fintech.
